- Publisher and CEO, Technically Media
July 2017 to Present: Chief executive for growing digital media and community journalism organization, responsible for strategic vision, team building and deployment of mission and model. (I initially wrote about this role here.) - Cofounder and Editorial Director, Technical.ly
June 2014 to June 2017: Oversaw newsroom through further expansion, including a distributed team across five mid-Atlantic markets, and the addition of a second brand, called Generocity.org. Developed organizational structure and supported editorial and business focus on talent acquisition for this business publication. February 2009 to June 2014: Launched, grew, reported and edited premiere network of local technology news sites, with markets in Philadelphia, Brooklyn and Baltimore, featuring revenue growth and sales development, hiring and team building, responsive website development project management, community convening, beat coverage and frequent speaking, conference and media appearances, in addition to co-organizing inaugural region-wide Philly Tech Week event series, leading the William Penn Foundation-funded Transparencity open government project, conceiving of News Inkubator concept and submitting Cobblestone Knight News Challenge grant application. - Director of Media and Social Marketing, Back on My Feet
