Christopher Wink: Sharing my work and writing about media convergence, entrepreneurship and the future of news
I HAVE BEEN IN South Dakota since last Monday, though this blog has been running on forward posts since.
I first met the group I’m visiting now back in 2006. With some other Temple University students, I did some community work in White River – a town of 600, nearly half of whom are American Indian – just north of the Lakota Rosebud reservation. See some photos of that trip below.
Christopher Wink is the co-founder of publishing strategy firm Technically Media and its technology news site Technically Philly. In that capacity, I am a lead organizer of Philly Tech Week, BarCamp NewsInnovation and other events that bring smart people together. I also founded Story Shuffle and contribute to NEast Philly. On this site, I share my work and write about the future of news, social media and entrepreneurship. The opinions posted here, of course, are no one's but my own, and so should not reflect the organizations with which I work. I live in a distinct neighborhood of Philadelphia and am an alumnus of Temple University.

don’t know how i stumbled upon this on a slow monday afternoon – - i am in disbelief at all these old pictures of mine you’ve posted…how rarely i ever stop to look at them…i find it funny how the majority of them are my pictures – and yet the sentiments they bring aren’t all good but rather an incredible mixture of anger, resentment, nostalgia, humor, and greatness. how much i have blocked out the memories of that place & looked the other way, it’s good to know someone’s still looking at these pictures & feels good about ‘em.
