Everyone does their lots of lists to end of the year. So, consider this my wishing you a grand, happy and successful 2009 and my doing just that.

I celebrated my one-year anniversary on this site early December with some of my most popular and favorite posts, so, because they might otherwise overlap, this is strictly my five most viewed posts of 2008.

  1. The 10 most attractive women in the country, seriously
    June 28, 2008
  2. University does something illegal to puppy
    Jan. 28, 2008
  3. Should you post an alleged rapist’s photo?
    Feb. 9, 2008
  4. Mike Schmidt launches wine for charity… seriously
    March 17, 2008
  5. Susan Barnett: bringing local news to CBS 3
    May 16, 2008

The lesson from No. 1 and 5 should teach you that sex sells. The lesson from No. 3 is that crime and controversy in relatively small communities sells. The lesson from No. 4 is that celebrities sell, and the lesson from No. 2 is that stupid puppy photos can get caught up in Google Images and get you tons of untargeted hits you really don’t want. Argh (the photo was quickly deleted, but the damage, as you can see, was done).

Happy 2009 everybody!

Feel free to trash me below because these relatively uninspired, largely non-journalism posts have been, by far, my most viewed.
