The german word is "Volontär". Normally every german employed editor and journalist has accomplished a "Volontariat". That means - 12 to 24 month of training on the job, after your university career - a mixture of lectures, training and working experience. the deutsche welle, germany´s international broadcaster, the place where i work has got a well acclaimed traineeship-programme (http://www.dw-world.de/dw/0,2142,12130,00.html) i participated and now i am a trainer myself - that´s why i posted your website - as a good example of how to promote oneself in a proper way. anyways i was quite astonished to stumble upon your posting ;-) thanks and best regards, marcus hi christopher,
